1.	The ends of glass tubes becomes round on heating. Explain why?
Answer» When the end of a glass-tube is heated the glass melts. Due to the surface tension, the molten glass tube tends to have minimum surface area. Thus, the molten glass at all points on the end of tube tends to take spherical shape and as such the end becomes round.
