The flower of brinjal is referred to as chasmogamous while that of beans is cleistogamous. How are they different from each other? |
|
Answer» Brinjal has chasmogamous flowers, as they are open with exposed stamen and stigma. Such flowers show cross-pollination as well as self-pollination. On the other hand, beans has cleistogamous flowers, as they never open at all, even at maturity, they also show selfpollination. |
