Answer»

The fusion of FEMALE reproductive nucleus with the male reproductive nucleus is known as the fertilization process. EXPLANATION:We know Fertilization is a process where there is a 'fusion' of 'haploid gametes', 'egg, and sperm', to form the 'diploid zygote'.The fertilization have four processes:  1) 'sperm preparation',  2) 'sperm-egg recognition' and 'binding',  3) 'sperm-egg fusion' and  4) 'fusion of sperm' and 'egg pronuclei' and 'activation of the zygote'.Fertilization ALWAYS occurs in the 'fallopian tubes'.  The process of 'fertilization' has two components, both sperm (spermatozoa) and egg (oocyte), that fuse with each other.  The result of the process is the 'production of a zygote CELL', initiating prenatal development.
