1.

The length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth. If the perimeter of the field is 288m. Find the dimensions of the field.

Answer»

Let breadth of the rectangular field bee ‘x’ m

∴ Its length = 2x

Its perimeter = 288

2(1 + b) = 288

2(2x + x) = 288

2(3x) = 288

6x = 288

x = \(\frac{288}{6}\)= 48

Its length = 2x = 2 × 48 = 96m

breadth = x = 48m
