Prime minister has more powers-

  1. President appoints the council of ministers but only on the advice of PM.
  2. PM acts as a LINK b/w council of ministers and the cabinet.
  3. PM also holds meeting of the above two.
  4. He advises the President about IMPORTANT meeting such as CHAIRMAN of UPSC and Auditory general of India.
  5. He advises the President to SUMMON a SESSION or dissolve the Lok Sabha before it's term expires.
