Answer» Correct Answer - Option 3 : 10 years Given: Ratio of present ages of Amrit and Abhi = 4 ∶ 5 Amrit – Kunal = 5 years Kunal’s age, 3 years ago = 12 years Concept used: To convert any ratio to an exact value, we should have to multiply any constant value The present age of Kunal = 15 years (12 +3) ∴ Age of Amrit = 15 + 5 = 20 Now, let present ages of Amrit and Abhi be 4x and 5x respectively ∴ 4x = 20 ∴ x = 5 Present age of Abhi = 5 × 5 = 25 Therefore, the difference of age of Abhi and Kunal = 25 – 15 = 10 years |
