Answer» The fertility of soil is harmed due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides. As a result, the production of crop is also adversely affected. Therefore, agro-scientists have started making use of bio-technology which leads to agricultural development without causing harm to the envrionment. Hence, in order to protect the environment, the use of bio-technology is increasing. Moreover, hybrid crop production and bio fertilizer are also possible now due to the development of biotechnology.
