There are two buildings X and Y. Number of floors in building X is 10 less than the number of floors in building Y. Total number of floors is 90.  Find the ratio of the total floors  in buildings X and Y1. 4 : 52. 2: 63. 5: 94. 3: 55. 7: 8

Answer» Correct Answer - Option 1 : 4 : 5

Given:

Total number of floors = 90

Calculation:

Let the total number of floors in building Y be a.

Number of floors in building X = a - 10

⇒ a - 10 + a = 90

⇒ 2a = 100

⇒ a = 50

number of floors in building X is 40

number of floors in building Y is 50

Required ratio = 40 : 50

4 : 5
