Answer» 96.5% of total volume of worlds water is estimated to exists as oceans and only 2.5% as FRESHWATER. 70%of freshwater occurs as icesheets and GLACIERS in ANTARTICA,Greenland,etc. while a little LESS than 30% is stored as groundwater in world's aquifers.So only a little amount of water is available for use.But still some areas face water scarcity inspite of having ample water resources,because - Due to the lack of technology and FACILITIES , Due to pollution of water , Due to concentration of water resources in hands of one individual and Due to increasing urbanization.h |
