suppose the distance between DELHI to Mumbai is D KM and speed of Y is V kmh-1
∴ D/V = 16
From (I),
speed of X is X = 40/100 x V = 2V/5
So time taken = D/(2V/5) = D/1 x 5/2V
∴ 5/2 D/V = 5/2 x 16 = 40 hours.
