Two single phase transformers A and B are operating in parallel having same impedance. But the x/r ratio of them are not equal and xa > xb. Then?(a) A has poorer pf than B(b) B has poorer pf than B(c) lesser power factor angle(d) both operate at same power factorI got this question in unit test.I'm obligated to ask this question of Parallel Operation of Single Phase Transformers in chapter Transformers of Electrical Machines

Answer» RIGHT choice is (a) A has POORER pf than B

To EXPLAIN I would say: As xa > xb, leakage impedance angle of A will be more than that of B, so lesser power FACTOR.
