CALCULATION:

Two – third of a number P is equal to the two – seventh of another number Q. R is three – fourth of P

2P/3 = 4Q/7

7P = 6Q

P : Q = 6 : 7

R = 9Q/14

Q : R = 14 : 9

P : Q : R = (6 × 14) : (7 × 14) : (7 : 9) = 12 : 14 : 9

Let P = 12k, Q = 14k and R = 9k

12k – 9k = 12

k = 4

Now,

= (2/7) × (12k + 14k + 9k)

= (2/7) × 140

= 40
