Under what condition can a state of emergency be declared in India? Explain. |

Answer» A state of emergency can be declared under the following conditions: (i) Increase of external aggression or armed rebellion; (ii) It the government machinery of a state breaks down; (iii) If there is a threat to the financial stability of the country. Under these circumstances, the President can impose a state of emergency and this is called President Rule. |
