Answer» Speed of water = 36km/hr = 36000/60 m/min. = 600 m/min. Converting into metres, Diameter of base of tank = 2 x .35 = 0.7 m. Volume of tank= Pi/4 x d square x h = Pi/4 x 0.7 x 0.7 x 1 cubic.m. Let Length of pipe for equaling volume of cylinder be h Pi / 4 x 0.07 x 0.07 x h = Pi/4 x 0.7 x 0.7 Hence h = 100 m Time taken to cover 100 m of pipe = 100/600 min. = 1/6 min.
