The microbes which enrich the soil in nutrients by their biological activities are called as biofertilizers. The biofertilizers also accelerate the process of mineralization, in addition, to an increase in soil fertility. Some of the examples of biofertilizers are Bacteria, Cyanobacteria, Fungi etc.
