What are molecular scissors? Give two example of it.

Answer»

Ans :- molecular scissors are nothing butRESTRICTION ENZYMESwhich are used to cut DNA, and RNA. These are also called DNA SCISSORS. These enzymes are very specific unlike normal scissor. They cut the given molecule at a specific position either producing a blunt cut or sticky end. Basically the cutting site is a Palindromic sequence.

Restriction enzymes are molecule specific, cut in a particular style and leave two types ofendsof aDNA molecule.
