What are non-ideal solutions ? Give two characteristics.

Answer»

Solution :The solutions which do not OBEY Raoult's law, over the entire range of concentration are called non-ideal solution.
(i) There is a charnge in enthalpy when a non-ideal solution formed from their components i.e., `DeltaH_(mix)ne0`.
(II) There is a CHANGE in VOLUME when a non-ideal solution formed from their components i.e., `DeltaV_(MAX)ne0`.
