1.	What are the changes that happen to food while it is in the stomach?
Answer» Peristalsis in the stomach converts food into a paste-like form. Special kind of circular muscles present in the posterior part of stomach retains food for a specific period. Different components in the gastric juice, secreted by the glands in the stomach wall also play a very important role in the process of digestion.
