The factors affecting the resistance of an electrical conductor are 

1. Nature of material 

2. Temperature 

3. Length of the conductor 

4. Area of cross-section of conductor 

Explanation : 

1. As the temperature increases the resistance increases and vice versa. 

2. As the material changes resistance changes. 

3. Resistance is directly proportional to length of the conductor (if T and A are kept constant). R ∝ l 

4. Resistance is inversely proportional to area of cross section (if 1 and T are kept constant). R ∝ 1/A
