Answer» (i) Invert Sugar: Sucrose is dextrorotatory, on hydrolysis in the presence of HCl or enzyme invertase, it produces a mixture of D–C(+)–glucose and D–(–)–fructose which is laevorotatory called invert sugar. (ii) Polypeptide: If more than ten a-amino acids are joined together by peptide bond (–CONH–) the polyamide thus formed is called polypeptide. |
