\implies Non-Metals are defined as those elements which ACCEPT electrons to form negatively charged ions called anions. Most of the elements in NATURE are non metals, and are used in daily life in their pure forms or as compounds.

Hydrogen is the most common non metal in the universe. Oxygen is the most ambudant non metal in the earth's crust followed by silicon.

Non-Metals are a large group of elements that show different properties. The physical properties of some non metals are: Density, Malleability, Ductility, THERMAL and Electrical Conductivity, LUSTRE and Hardness. Even though the properties of nonmetals are not very SIMILAR, the show distinct properties compared to metals.
