She was left to live through misery of the procession, the happy couple and the shouts of the crowd. उसने जब यह कल्पना किया कि उसका प्रेमी, उसे दरवाजे को खोल रहा है जिसके पीछे नारी छिपी है तो वह चिल्ला उठी और अपनी बालों को तोड़ने लगी। वह बेचैन हो गई। उसका हृदय उस दृश्य की कल्पना मात्र से कि उसका प्रेमी उस नारी के पास विवाह करने के लिए जा रहा है तो वेदना से वह कराह उठी। विवाह के इस खुशी में उसकी आंसू को कोई महत्व नहीं रह गया। खुशहाल नव-दंपति के सम्मान में निकले जुलूस और उसके चिल्लाने की आवजे के बीच वह अपनी दुखों के साथ जीने को विवश थी। |
