The major sources of pollution are the burning of fossil fuels, afforestation, mining activities, exhaust from industries etc. Pollution can typically cause CULTURAL landscapes to become muddled, poison the soils and local waterways and HARM both plants and animals. Pollution frequently routinely affects humans as well. For example, long-term exposure to air pollution may lead to respiratory diseases, such as LUNG cancer and others. |
