| Answer» The Laburnum Top? The orientation of different kinds of inner meanings into the same limited lines of the poem. Besides the meaning that the silence of the Laburnum tree was disrupted by a goldfinch which later leaves the tree producing emptiness around the tree, it also emphasizes on the emergence of industrialisation into the serene agrarian society and the foremost, the poet Ted Hughes\' life. He married another poet who was a child prodigy. The happiness brought in the early stages of their married life was described in terms of the arrival of the goldfinch. But, apart from great talent, his wife was a quite sensitive person. This often caused clashes in their later life following which she conducted suicide. Ted Hughes is sooooo... very gifted and strong poet. | |
