The Aschelminthes is also called ‘round worms’. The phylum are bilaterally symmetrical, triploblastic, pseudocoelomate.

• Alimentary canal complete (has muscular pharynx), wastes removed through excretory pore. 

• Sexes separate. Shows dimophism. 

• Females longer than males. 

• Fertilisation internal. Development direct or indirect. e.g., Ascaris, Wuchereria.
