1.	What do you understand by the term ‘local government’?
Answer» Local government refers to the government which functions in a village or town at local level. Gram Panchayat in villages, Municipal Corporation in cities, etc. are bodies which function in the form of local government. These governments perform the works of local importance, such as- building roads, cleaning, electricity system, etc.
