Answer» Light scattering is a form of scattering in which light in the form of propagating energy is scattered. It is a process of absorption and then re-emission of light energy. Scattering of light depends on the wavelength or frequency of the light being scattered. In this process, the deflection of a ray from a straight path, for example by irregularities in the propagation medium, particles or between the interface of two media takes place. Red light scattered the least and violet light the most because wavelength of red light is highest and the wavelength of violet light is least.
