Answer» VT-x is also KNOWN as INTEL x86 virtualization that enables x86 CPU to SHARE its resources to multiple virtual OS guests. This term is also referred to as Hardware Virtualization WHEREAS, VT-d is a facility given by IOMMU (Input/output Memory Management Unit) that enables guest OS to access peripheral DEVICES directly through DMA or interrupt mapping. This is also known as PCI Walk-through. VT-x is also known as Intel x86 virtualization that enables x86 CPU to share its resources to multiple virtual OS guests.
