Answer» When the landowner declared his intention of finding a suitable husband for his daughter through a ‘Swaymvara’, Sindhu thought of his own chance of winning the hand of the beautiful girl. But as he was a poor peasant he had doubts regarding his marriage. He thought that the girl herself would dislike being the wife of his father’s servant. He thought that the landowner may not allow his daughter to be married to a peasant. जब जमींदार ने अपनी कन्या के लिये उचित वर की तलाश के इरादे की घोषणा की तो सिन्धु ने उस सुन्दर कन्या का हाथ पाने की अपनी सम्भावनाओं पर विचार किया। लेकिन क्योंकि वह एक गरीब किसान थी उसे अपने विवाह के सम्बन्ध में कुछ सन्देह थे। उसने सोचा कि हो सकता है लड़की स्वयं ही अपने पिता के नौकर की पत्नी होने को नापसन्द कर दे। वह सोचने लगा कि शायद जमींदार अपनी पुत्री के किसान के साथ विवाह की इजाजत ही न दे। |
