Answer» Biological classification is a SCIENTIFIC method of arranging organisms into groups and subgroups on the basis of their similarities and dissimilarities and placing the groups in a hierarchial order.Importance of classification:-Classification is a must because of the following reasons.1) It is not POSSIBLE to study EVERY organism.2) A locality cannot have all types of organisms.3) The organisms of the past cannot be studied without a PROPER system of classification.4) Classification helps in knowing the relationships amongst different groups of organisms. |
