● An acid is a chemical substance (usually a liquid) with hydrogen as main constituent and reactive to other substances to form salts.

☆ It can turn litmus RED from blue.

☆Can Dissolve some METALS ( Typically, a corrosive one )

☆ They have sour taste.

☆ They lose their acidity when combined with alkalies

☆They release hydroxyl ions in water.

☆Acids in solution have ph below 7.0
