Answer» gametophytic and sporophytic generations alternate in the life cycle, it is called Alter-nation of generation. Or vice versa gametophyte produces gametes and their fusion product zygote or Oospore. Oospore produces sporophyte. Sporophyte produces spores. Spores germinate and produce gametophyte. |
