What is anaemia?

A condition in which the blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells.

Anaemia results from a lack of red bloood cells in the body. This leads to reduced oxygen flow to the body's organs.

Symptoms :

  • Dizziness, lightheadness, or feeling like you are about to pass out
  • Fast or unusual heartbeat
  • Headache
  • Pain, including in your bones, chest, belly, and joints
  • Problems with growth, for children and teens
  • Shortness of breath
  • Skin that’s pale or yellow
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Tiredness or weakness

It is the condition in which there is reduced number of erythrocytes with a reduced amount of haemoglobin. It is a deficiency disease caused by the deficiency of iron.
