1.	What is Application software? Why is it required?
Answer» Application software is a set of programs, developed by programmers in order to perform specific tasks. This software can be run only if a system software is present in the computer. The user can even execute these programs without having background of programming. It has various application areas like inventory control, airline or railway reservation, payroll system, banks and universities etc.
