Normal reproductive process then occurs and the progeny thus obtained is a hybrid of desired characters. Artificial insemination is useful in breeding animals because : 1. It is economical as semen from a desired animal e.g., bull can be transported to far away places while transporting the animal is not easy. 2. High quality semen is available all the time but a high-quality bull may not be available all the time and at all places.
