What is different between Distance And Displacement? |

Answer» Distance is actual distance between initial and final distance .It is scalar quantity as it has only magnitude but no direction.It is always positive.Displacement is shortest distance between the initial and final position.It is vector quantity as it has both magnitude and direction.It may be positive ,negative or zero. Distance is nothing but it is a gap or a uniform way but displacement is the changing of direction |
