What is Gibbs energy?

Answer» It is represented as G=H-TS
The maximum amount of energy available to a system during a process that can be convert into useful work is known as Gibbs free energy
Gibbs energy is a state function which is related with enthalpy and entropy.
When in any reaction , spontaneity is not determined by ∆H and ∆S individually , then we relate these both state function to find a new state function, that is called Gibbs energy
