Answer» Intermixing of atomic orbitals of slightly different energy so as to redistribute their energy resulting in formation of new set of orbitals When two atoms combined together with third atom then the two bonds are formed known as hybridization this concept was put by pauling . he suggested that the atomic orbitals mix together to generate a new set of equivalent orbitals. these orbitals are used in bond formation. this phenomenon is called hybridisation |
