Answer» Ans :- Hyderabad was known as Bhagyanagar or Bhagnagar after the name of Bhagmati who is a local dancer.Quli Qutub shah ,the founder of Hyderabad fell in love with her and named the city after her name.Later Bhagmati was converted to Islam and given a name Hyder Mahal .So the city is renamed after her name as Hyderabad.
