1.

What is meant by electric current?

Answer»

Electric Current is the rate of flow of charge, I = Q/t where I is current, Q is charge and t is time. It is a scalar quantity. i.e it has only magnitude no direction.

Ampere is SI unit of current.

1 ampere is defined as the current when 1 C of charge is passing through a conductor for 1 second.

The direction of current is from A to B.

It moves in the opposite direction to the flow of electrons, i.e current flows from positive terminal to negative terminal.
