What is meant by isomerases ,hydrolases and oxidoreductase?

Answer»

Answer: Hydrolases catalyze reactions that involve hydrolysis.Isomerases catalyze changes within ONE MOLECULE. They convert one isomer to ANOTHER, meaning that the end product has the same molecular formula but a different physical STRUCTURE. An OXIDOREDUCTASE is an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of electrons from one molecule, the reductant, also called the electron donor, to another, the oxidant, also called the electron acceptor. This group of enzymes usually utilizes NADP or NAD+ as cofactors.
