Answer» Ozone hole is the thinning of ozone layer is stratosphere and it is marked over the Antartica region. It develops every year late August and early October. In the stratosphere the VU rays act on the CFCs and release chlorine atoms. There chlorine atoms degrade the ozone layer by acting as a catalyst. Since the chlorine atom are not consumed in the reaction the CFCs have a permanent and continuing effect on ozone holes.
