What is meant by reflection of a wave ? |

Answer» When a wave travelling in a medium is incident on a boundary with another medium, a part of it returns into the original medium with a change in its direction of propagation while a part of it is transmitted into the second medium. The phenomenon in which a part of the wave is returned into the original medium with reduction in its intensity and energy is called reflection. |
