1.

What is meant by running inflation? State its impact on fixed income groups.

Answer»

When the sustained rising prices gain a full momentum of their own (say 8% to 10% per annum) they begin to move up at a fast speed. It is called running inflation. It is a warning signal for controlling it. Fixed income groups are worst affected by inflation because the purchasing power of fixed income goes on decreasing with rising prices.
