What is Molecularity?​

Molecularity:- It is the total number of molecules, atoms or LONS means those reacting species which are taking place in an elementary reaction is known as molecularity of that reaction.

Some additional INFORMATION:-

  • 1. It is a theoretical quantity.

  • 2. It can be an integer like 1, 2, 3 or 4 but it NEVER can be negative or 0.

  • 3. It is equal to the order in an elementary reaction.

  • 4. While in the complex reaction it is defined seperately.

  • 5. Total molecularity of complex reaction is CONSIDERED as meaningless.

  • 6. 3 is the maximum value of Molecularity in order.
