Answer» 1) Natural rubber is a polymer and possesses elastic properties . 2) It is an elastomer and it is manufactured form rubber latex . Latex is a colloidal dispersion of rubber in water . 3) Natural rubber may be considered as a linear polymer of isoprene. It is also called as cis -1 ,4 -Poly isoprene. 4) The cis poly isoprene molecule consists of various chain held together by weak vander waals interactions and has a colloid structure. Thus it structures like a spring and exhibits elastic properties . |
