As you MOVE about selecting and un-selecting OBJECTS or text, the ribbon CHANGES to display the correct attributes of the selected OBJECT or text. It also allows you to modify one or more attributes of the object or text.

There are six types of ribbon:

  1. Object Attributes Ribbon. One or more of InPage objects (Text box,Title Text box, PICTURE box, Graphic box, Line) are selected.
  2. Text Attributes Ribbon.
  3. Picture Edit Ribbon.
  4. Inline Graphics Ribbon.
  5. Tabs Ribbon.
  6. Paste Ribbon.

 When neither object nor text is selected. Ribbon is either blank or reflects the ribbon for the selected tool.
