Soil Pollution:-

Soil is an natural LAYER on the surface of earth, but sometimes, some of living organism's practices can be harmful for soil. It's known as soil POLLUTION.

Soil pollution is a process in which there is occurence of change in physical and chemical conditions of soil.

Sources of soil pollution:-

• Solid wastes like garbage, plastic, cans and BOTTLES thrown into soil, causes soil pollution.

• Pesticides and harmful chemicals sprayed in FIELDS.

• Excessive using of artificial fertilizers also causes soil pollution.

• Over irrigation in fields, can lead to soil pollution, like in Haryana and Punjab.

Methods to control soil pollution:-

• By REDUCING uses of chemicals or artificial products in fields, we can control it.

• Planting more and more trees and stop afforestation can reduce the soil pollution.

• By removing industrial waste from soil.
