What is the correct classification of the conducting materials?(a) low resistivity, low conductivity(b) low resistivity, high conductivity(c) high resistivity, high conductivity(d) medium resistivity, medium conductivityThis question was posed to me during an online exam. This question is from Electrical Conducting Materials topic in chapter Electrical Engineering Materials of Design of Electrical Machines

Answer»

The correct answer is (B) low resistivity, high CONDUCTIVITY

For EXPLANATION I would say: Resistivity is inversely proportional to the conductivity. So, if the material CONSISTS of high resistivity then it will obviously have low conductivity and vice versa.
