What is the difference between a penalty corner and a penalty stroke ? |
Answer» Penalty Corner: 1. In this an attacker pushes a ball from a mark which is ten yards away from the goal post on the side that team prefers. Five defenders including a goal keeper are allowed to defend their goal. 2. A penalty corner is awarded for an offense by a defender in the circle which does not prevent the probable scoring of a rebel. Penalty Stroke: 1. In this an attacker is allowed to push or scoop the ball from the penalty spot. All defenders except the goal keeper stand behind the 25 yard line. 2. A penalty stroke is awarded when a defender commits a foul in the circle that prevents a probable goal. |
